Over the years, people have come together to meet when called upon by the sound of blues music, just to get a feel for new artists filled with emotions. Its an amazing feeling in Yorkshire, because the Keighley Blues Club is a voluntary organization run just for this purpose, so the best can come together and unite with the blues sound.
Coming Together over the years has always been a special event at this club and the history of the Blues scene lives on with all these artists, but getting the chance to experience it first hand is a must for any Blues lover. People have always agreed that rock and roll music actually came in the late 1940s from the blues scene.
Back then gospel music expressed certain pain which led to the arrival of the blues music and people came together to express emotions. This is the core of what makes blues music, how people would come together from all over the world to express feelings, drink, dance and have sex and people found that Blues music helped them express their darker side. At the time, it was a way people expressed failed relationships, its how they expressed all those feelings about those who made their lives a living hell.
Nowadays, this tradition still holds its place in Keighley Blues Club, all the great blues artists come together and play for the pure fun of it. People still get to tell stories of pain and hurt through their music, share drinks and meet new people in the same positions they are. This blues club is a place to come and experience a new type of music, by new young blues musicians as well as those much older than them who have been on the blues scene for many years. All generations, past and present, are welcomed here.
